Every bat mitzvah is fabulous! And Sadie’s Seattle bat mitzvah service & celebration was especially wonderful. When you are invited by a family to document their bar mitzvah (first) followed a year later by their bat mitzvah (second), it’s fantastic. And when that family also has talented photographers & videographers that I’ve admired for years, it’s thrilling—so it just felt incredibly special all around.

Kudos to the family–you have my vote (and the Oscar goes to) for the slideshow videos from each celebration, both David’s and Sadie’s. I’m pretty sure my breath stopped a few times at how poignant, funny, and real both slideshow videos were. Both videos illustrated how quickly children grow and mature while still keeping their sense of humor and fun and playfulness.
