Fall Wedding | Sierra Nevada Foothills | Midpines California

In Seattle, we enjoy both the Cascades and Olympic mountain ranges, the spectacular Mount Rainier. When the invitation arrived from California, I knew it was special. The bride & groom has chosen an intimate wedding with family & friends in the beautiful Sierra Nevada foothills outside Yosemite National Park. Equally breathtaking mountain range, I’m sure you’ll agree. Intimate weddings are wonderfully warm & welcoming where the bride & groom feel connected to all guests. The September weekend brought sunshine & blue skies at the Yosemite Bug Rustic Mountain Resort in Midpines, part of Mariposa County. The rustic resort nestles under black oaks, manzanita & pine trees across the rolling hills. A hawk lazily spiraled overhead while a deer threaded its way through the trails.

The outdoor ceremony took place near the campfire—with laughter & tears & heartfelt emotion, the ceremony concluded. Until the officiant realized the rings had not yet been exchanged by the bride and groom! And so, the officiant made sure that did happen much to the amusement of all. The guests adjourned to an indoor reception with beautiful details, lovely table settings, food & drink, toasts & dancing. I’ve been friends with the groom for years & was thrilled to see how happy & joyful he was to begin a new chapter with his soulmate & best friend. Here’s to many years ahead together & happy congratulations to you both.
